The Absolute Lovable Link Event

5 Minutes for MomLately I’ve been thinking about ways in which I can help my readers promote their home-based business or increase traffic to their website or blog. Through my research I’ve come across a couple of really fantastic ideas!

Over at 5 Minutes for Mom they had an Ultimate Blog Party, where you could enter your blog’s URL, your Twitter link and your Facebook link through Mr. Linky. To participate in the Ultimate Blog Party you had to place a party post on your blog as well as leave a comment on their blog. Even though the party took place back in March 2009, I still decided to participate because it is such a great idea! I also ended up spending 45 minutes over there just checking out all the other fabulous links.

Back in May, Mom Dot featured a Blog-Link-A-Thon where 330 mommy bloggers all gave link love to each other in a pre-organized link love fest. What’s so great about this idea is that because your link is included in 330 actual blog posts you receive quality inbound links to your site which in turn helps with your Google page rank, Technorati rating, as well as the exposure from all the different blogs. more

20 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

Blog TrafficBy Holly Reisem Hanna

I love reading emails from readers, I enjoy the social interaction as well as the recognition, but what truly makes me happy is when I am able to help a reader fulfill their dream of working from home or becoming self-employed.

Lately I have received a lot of emails from new bloggers and website infopreneurs who wanted to know how to increase traffic to their website or blog. I have been emailing each person individually with a short and general list of things to complete, but I figured it would be more helpful if I created a more extensive list and shared it with everyone.

So here are twenty steps that I have taken to generate traffic to my blog, by no means is this list extensive, but it has helped The Work at Home Woman to achieve a Google page rank of 3, an Alexa rating of 255,484 and well over 46,000 page views per month – all within a four month period. more
