Twitter Based Work at Home Scam – Easy Tweet Profits
With Twitter being one of the hottest and fastest growing social networks on the web, it’s no wonder why it is now being targeted by get-rich-quick, work-at-home schemes. On July 1, 2009 the Better Business Bureau issued a warning against Twitter money making schemes.
One of the questionable companies mentioned by the Better Business Bureau was Easy Tweet Profits. According to Easy Tweet Profits you can make $250 – $873 per day at home with Twitter. Just like the Easy Google Profit Scam, it claims it has been seen on and trusted by, CNBC, AOL, USA Today, ABC, CNN and Yahoo, yet it doesn’t supply links to the “as seen on” segments.
Easy Tweet Profits offers a free seven day trial of their CD-Rom for $1.95 to cover shipping charges. But hidden away in the terms and conditions are the details that the trial begins on the day that you order the CD-Rom, not when you receive it. Now here is the kicker, if you don’t cancel within seven days of signing up they will charge you $47 each and every month.
Similar to the Easy Google Profit Scam, there is phony blog with a made up individual, supposedly Derrick Clark of Austin, Texas, or wherever you are from because it just pulls your IP address and then pastes into a variable which will then show your city. Derrick Clark talks about how he is making $5,000 a month posting links to Twitter, yet the check he is showing is from Google! Another red flag is that the blog comments are closed… because it is a phony blog!
The Better Business Bureau says that, “the blog also includes an image of the supposed check Derrick received for posting links on Twitter, but the exact same photo of the check has been used countless times on other phony blogs for various suspect work-at-home jobs”.
So how do you protect yourself from work at home scams? Take your time and read the small print, research the company with the Better Business Bureau, also performing a Google keyword search to see if there are any negative reports on the company. By following these tips you can help to avoid work at home scams.

Thanks for the information regarding the “Easy tweet profits”. I came across it and about to sign-up but had a second thought to research farther and learn more of the offers or claims. I am glad i did. It is not what i want to pay monthly and unsure how the results will pay me back or even profit to be had. Thanks again =)
