Interview with Work at Home Mom – Johanna D. Dundas

WAHMDo you work at home?

Yes.

How many children do you have?

3, all boys.

How many hours do you work a week?

25-35 hours.

How do you balance all of your business and personal activities?

I schedule my work hours as best I can.  I start at the same time every morning.  If I told myself that I have all day to get my work done, I would procrastinate and would never get to it.  Other than appointments and some breaks, I pretty much stick to the same schedule every day.

Tell us about GoToBilling and how you found this work at home opportunity?

GoToBilling is an on-demand payment and billing application that handles every type of billing situation along with an invoicing application.   I found the Executive Assistant position advertised locally.

What advice do you have for other moms who are looking to work from home?

Don’t assume that working from home means that things are necessarily easier.  It is wonderful to be around to kiss the boo-boos but working from home also means kids and husbands come to you to referee fights and change the really stinky diapers.

What do you like best about working from home?

Being there.  I can schedule my around the soccer games and school programs.

What do you dislike about working from home?

Being there.  The distractions can be fairly aggravating sometimes.
