Congratulations on your success Jamie. I too am a mother of two trying to start a business from home. I just launched a website, www.FamilyHotTopics.com, which still under development and it seems like an enourmous task, with page views in the hundreds instead of thousands. When starting your business, how did you manage to take it to the next level when it seemed like the growth was slow??

Thank you,
Angelica

I've been working at home for over a year now. I knew absolutely nothing about it either but I stumbled upon something called Maverick Money Makers. I saw it online and on television, so I gave it a shot and it has worked nicely for me.

A good source of info for online business are the entrepreneur magazines. You could subscribe to one or two types of them and learn about setting up an online business. They usually offer some very good insights when it comes to setting up your business.

Thank you for your kind comments. In answer to your question Brenda, the desire to start my business from home was born out of my desire to be a conscious parent. I wanted to find a way to create a business and honor my commitment to my children at the same time. In the process of juggling both, I realized that family life does not have to be compromised in order to make a living.

Many Blessings,
Jamie

Jamie, Your article is great! I am doing a presentation in my communications class on balancing work and family, from the home-based business aspect. I am wondering do you feel the desire to work from home was sparked in any way by family values or biblical principles you may have been brought up with?

May God bless you,
Brenda Christian
