3 Unusual Ways to Make Some Extra Money from Home

3 Unusual Ways to Make Some Extra Money from HomeBy Holly Reisem Hanna

Who couldn’t use a little extra money now and then?

But with work at home scams and Internet marketing schemes running rampant, it’s hard to find those legitimate money making opportunities. However, if you’re willing to look high and low you can find some legitimate ways to earn some extra money from home.

And we’ve found three that we think you’ll like.

While you’re not going to make a fortune with these opportunities, you can make enough to afford your weekly Starbuck’s habit, treat yourself to a new pair of jeans or even pay off some credit card debt.

Share Magnet

You’re already surfing the net and sharing your favorite products and services on social media, why not get paid for it?! Here’s how it works… advertisers create “share magnets” for their products and services on Share Magnet. Individuals create a Share Magnet account and browse the available magnets and share which ones that interest them. Each magnet has a certain value assigned to it, ranging from from .02 cents to $2.00 dollars per share. Once you find something you like, you share it via email or on one of the various social networks, like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. So what kind of businesses are advertising on Share Magnet? I found sites like Sitter City, Hudson Jeans, Zulily and Working Mother Magazine. While you’re not going to get rich sharing magnets, it is a fun way to earn some extra pocket cash from home and it’s free to join!

GigWalk is a mobile workforce of individuals using their smart phones to connect, explore, and earn a second paycheck as they go about their day. Simply register, apply for an assignment and then complete the task (usually verifying roads and street signs, geographic landmarks, transportation options or store inventory with your smart phone’s camera). According to their testimonial page, one gig walker made $1,200 in a week; more realistically it looks like the average assignment pays between $3.00 – $50.00. Assignments are available in major cities across the United States.  Membership is free.

Park at My House

Park at My House is a match-making service for property owners and drivers. Here’s the premise, we all know that at certain times of the year parking can be a nightmare. Park at My House connects drivers with household owners who have extra parking space to spare. Simply create an account, Park at My House will do the match-making, and in return you’ll earn some extra money for allowing individuals to park at your house. Creating an account is free and it even allows you to put in your address to see how much your driveway is worth. Based on their calculations I could be making an extra $1,200 a year renting out my driveway, not bad!

I am a stay at home Navy wife and mother of 2! I have found skinny wraps through my cousin, an ombudsman wife, that are all natural! They detoxify the area you place it. Leave it on for 45 minutes and BAM inches gone- I love it, everyone loves it and it’s only 25$ for customers!!- Im changing lives and I can move up in this company!! Unlike Avon!

and here you go again – – with a plethora of resources unknown to mankind! i thank you in advance.

of the three you mentioned, GigWalk just might work for me. i’m exploring the possibility of putting some things on Craigslist. my friend Chris (our friend, I should say!) has inspired me to do so. she makes a good chunk of change listing all kinds of stuff.

I’ve had great luck selling items on Craigslist, it’s a great way to make some money on bigger and more expensive items. Let me know how you like GigWalk.

Just signed up for park at my house. They haven’t launched in my city yet, but I live right next to downtown, so hopefully an opportunity will come from it. Cool idea!

I bet they expand to your city soon. I actually found Park at My House on our local news, because of the large festival we have here in town, SXSW. Let me know if you start making money by using them.
