I love fashion… I always have, but often times working at home lends itself to yoga pants and track suits. And while my wardrobe has some really great business casual digs, they are just too formal to wear on a daily basis.
Why does it seem so hard to find functional, yet stylish fashion, for the work at home woman?
Well, wait no longer.
Let me introduce you to New York-Based Fashion Designer, Lynn Zachos, who decided to take her ready-to-wear label and transform it into a fashion line of combined style and comfort, or what I like to call, functional fashion.
AVA GRAY direct is a social selling company that offers women the opportunity to control their financial destiny, with a flexible work-at-home career in the fashion industry. Lynn’s hectic lifestyle led her to envision a line that was comfortable, yet chic, and that could seamlessly be worn from PTA meeting to a night out on on town.
The AVA GRAY direct line consists of quality fabrics and versatile designs, with cardigans, tunics, modern tees, ruched dresses, and comfy leggings and lounge pants. In fact, Lynn was kind enough to send me the adorable Cap Sleeve Lace Top, which is not only super comfy with it’s removable soft bra cups, but even my 5 year old daughter asked me, “why are you dressed so fancy”! If that’s not a great testimonial for how the AVA GRAY direct line can be dressed up or down, I don’t know what is.
How does AVA GRAY direct compare to other direct sales companies?
- Trained Independent Stylists with AVA GRAY direct, have the potential to earn an average of $75 – $120 per hour through commissions from in-home fashion parties and online sales.
- Starter kits range in price from $199 for the Online Boutique Kit, to $499 for the Starter Boutique and $699 for the Ultimate Boutique Kit. Independent Stylists make anywhere from 20% – 25% commission on all sales, plus there is the opportunity to build a team.
- Every item in the collection is under $100 which makes it perfect for all budgets.
What are AVA GRAY direct stylists saying about the opportunity?
I was introduced to the AVA GRAY brand a couple of years ago when the company was selling only to high end boutiques across the country. I was fortunate enough to have a few of the original Ava Gray tops and dresses that featured removable soft bra cups.
To this day, those tops and dresses are still a favorite in my wardrobe not only because of the lasting quality, but also because of the flexibility of the clothes. It was easy to wear an AVA GRAY top around the house and feel comfortable, yet wear the same top to my kids’ play-dates knowing that I looked pulled together and stylish. I really fell in love with the whole concept of the collection!
When the company announced the launch of AVA GRAY direct and a ground floor opportunity for women to have their own fashion business, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to have a flexible business of my own, especially after learning that I could work as an Independent Fashion Stylist around my teaching and family schedule.
I joined without hesitation, as did my sister-in-law, Nicole; she also owned an AVA GRAY dress and is a believer in the brand, just like me. We signed up for AVA GRAY direct together and we couldn’t be more excited!

Like I said, I love fashion! And if you’re looking for a ground floor opportunity in the fashion industry, that appeals to a wide variety of individuals, this is it. The fabric and quality of the top that I own are top-notch, in fact there are several pieces that I would like to add to my own wardrobe.
The price point of the products are high enough for you to make a profit easily, while not being out of reach for the average consumer. And the commission rates are competitive with other direct sales companies in the same niche.
My only complaint is, that a few of the tops don’t come in an extra small, but this is understandable seeing as how they are newer direct sales company. I can’t wait to see how they grow and what new lines they come out with.
Lynn Zachos was kind of enough to give me the Cap Sleeve Lace Top to review. The Work at Home Woman always gives an honest opinion and does not participate in paid reviews, for more information please see our disclosure policy.
