If you are a team leader for a home party plan business, you already know how important it is to have motivational team meetings. These meetings should also be informational and fun. Having a theme for your parties will make them more unique and interesting.

Infomercials as a Home Business Team Training

One of the best ways to learn how to give exciting sales presentations is to watch infomercials. The infomercials are conducted by some of the best sales people in the industry. They know how to grab people’s attention, relate their products to the masses, and get people to buy and buy some more. Have a meeting where you all watch different infomercials and then analyze and discuss them. There is no need to watch entire infomercials (some of them are quite lengthy); watching segments is enough to see the various techniques used by these top sales individuals. A meeting where you view and discuss different infomercials with your sales team will be informative and motivational.

Chicken and Stars Motivational Meetings

Everyone has seen a can of chicken and stars soup, right? Well, use one these cans to make a point at your next home party plan team meeting. A week or so before your next meeting, ask everyone to bring a can of chicken and stars soup. Don’t explain the reason for this request as this will create an aura of mystery. At the meeting, you can ask the question: “Are you a star or are you a chicken? A star is someone who makes a commitment to marketing. A chicken is someone who is afraid to talk with people and promote their product every day. Tell your sales team to keep the can of chicken and stars soup on their desk so they can look at it every day as a reminder to be a star.

Seasonal Themes For Home Business Meetings

Holidays can be used as inspiration for a direct sales team party. For Christmas, the theme can be “the gift of ideas.” You could have small wrapped presents that contain various ideas for your team members. The sales team members would open them and then figure out ways to include them in their marketing plans for the new year. For Halloween, the slogan could be “make no bones about it.” The theme of this party would be excuses and how to overcome them. For the spring, the slogan could be, “spring is the season to plant seeds.” This party would offer ideas and suggestions of how to start a new marketing campaign or how to get involved with a new product.

There are hundreds of ways to make your home party plan sales meeting enjoyable. Take some time to plan out a theme and an agenda. Whether or not the meeting theme is coordinated with a season or holiday, it should always be something that is motivational, informative, and memorable.
