Last year one of my goals was to write and publish an e-book. While I achieved that goal, the whole process of marketing and selling my e-book was a whole other story.

For me writing the e-book was easy part, I just needed to set aside the time to do it. Even formatting which I thought was going to be difficult was relatively painless. Of course when I had my finished product I was ecstatic and I immediately started planning for the launch. I set up an affiliate program, I got bloggers to review the e-book and I sent out dedicated emails – things were good.

But as time went on, I paid less and less attention to the e-book, and like most thing in life, if left neglected for too long things start to deteriorate. While the e-book got really great reviews the sales just weren’t coming in like they were in the beginning.

I waffled back and forth on what I was going to do with the e-book. Do I continue to sell it? Should I use it as a freebie for newsletter sign ups? Decrease the price? Add more content and increase the price?

Finally after lots of soul searching, I decided that I would revamp my e-book from head to toe. The overall content needed a general update, as a lot changes happened in a year. I also added more content to the getting traffic and monetization sections – which was a recommendation from a couple of reviewers.

Along with these changes, I formatted the e-book for Kindle and Nook, meaning that you can now purchase Blogging Success on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

But the biggest thing that I did was I decreased the price significantly. I originally sold Blogging Success for $37 and I’m now selling it for $7.99! The reason I did this, is because I know there are lots of women out there who are working with tight budgets. So to make this e-book accessible to anyone who wants to work at home blogging – I have decreased the price to $7.99.

I’m really excited about all of the new changes and in a few weeks I will be having a grand relaunch of Blogging Success.
