Have you ever visited the blog 5 Minutes for Mom? They always host these fun parties where bloggers write a post about the party on their blog and then they are able to link their party post on 5 Minutes for Mom using Mr. Linky – with the object being to meet new bloggers and get your blog some additional exposure. Pretty neat idea.
My friend Abbey and I were talking about these parties and how we could do a fun take off of this theme, yet really give bloggers the exposure and traffic they deserve. So Abbey suggested we do a Summer Blog Tour and here is what we came up with…
Starting Monday, May 10th through July 30th we are going on a Summer Blog Tour. We will be highlighting 60 different blogs, one each day. The Summer Blog Tour will start off with a list of all the blogs participating and the dates that we will be visiting them. This initial introductory post will be posted both on The Work at Home Woman and Living My MoMent.
After the tour dates have been posted, each day we will visit a new blog (Monday – Friday). We will then drive traffic to your blog with a dedicated blog post on Living My MoMent, a mention on The Work at Home Woman’s daily blog post, updates on both our Facebook Fan Pages and tweets sent out from our Twitter accounts – this equals tons of exposure for your blog!
All we ask of you is that you grab our Summer Blog Tour banner and write a post about the Summer Blog Tour on the day that we’ll be visiting your blog; you must include active hyperlinks to The Work at Home Woman and Living My MoMent in your post. We would also like to encourage all participants in the Blog Tour to visit your fellow blogger and support their blog with a comment on their special day.
Do you want in?!? We will only be accepting 60 bloggers, so the first 60 bloggers to get signed up will be part of this fabulous tour! Sorry guys, ladies only. Any objective, pornographic, offensive violent or derogatory sites will not be accepted. Only one blog allowed per person.
Very cool! I just signed up! I was thinking of doing the same thing with homeschool families over the summer. I’m always curious what everyone else does over the summer and thought that a blog hop would be fun.
I haven’t had my coffee yet so forgive me if you addressed this but are you wanting the blogs to host a giveaway, too?
