How to Write a Successful Business Proposal

How to Write a Successful Business ProposalBy Holly Reisem Hanna

When I first started out, I was so eager to market my business, that sometimes I may have crossed the fine line between self promotion and aggressive marketing tactics. Since then, I have learned that it always better to take things one step at a time and build up slowly.

This is especially true when it comes to approaching individuals for collaborative efforts and partnerships. The whole idea behind a successful partnership or collaboration, is that both parties benefit from the deal, not just one individual.

When I got the email response from the person I’d been dealing with, I was a little disappointed. They loved my work, however they hadn’t fulfilled their end of the deal we initially agreed upon.

BLAME IT ON TECHNOLOGY

They sold me on the fact they had a network that reached about 150,000 people. Not bad, huh?! The guest post I’d written was supposed to have been featured on one site and they in turn posted it on another. Keep in mind this was a customized article – tailored specifically to their audience. The alternate site didn’t speak to that demographic. Yes, it was owned and operated by the same group, but the focus was completely different. (more…)
