How Much Money Can You Make as a CAbi Consultant?

How Much Money Can You Make as a CAbi Consultant?By Holly Reisem Hanna

It’s no secret that I adore CAbi. I fell in love with the brand in July of 2010 when I attended my very first CAbi Scoop (their bi-annual fashion show that reveals the new season’s line of clothing). At first it was the clothing and the high energy fashion show that pulled me in, but after being around the exuberant consultants and hearing their stories of success, I knew that CAbi was so much more.

These women are energetic, caring, happy, and confident — but most of all they’re having fun while making money from home.

According to the Direct Selling Association (DSA) the median gross annual income for a direct seller is $2,420. The average annual income for a CAbi Consultant (2011) was $19,031. CAbi Reps can make 20% – 33% commission based on personal sales and team building bonuses. But what does this translate to in terms of real life CAbi Consultants?

With CAbi you make make money in 3 different ways.

1) Host home shopping parties and earn 25% to 33% commission on items you sell.

2) Build a team and receive additional commission on items that your team sells. (more…)

Traveling Vineyard – A Home-Based Business for Wine Lovers

Traveling Vineyard - A Home-Based Business for Wine LoverBy Holly Reisem Hanna

This month I had the opportunity to review the Traveling Vineyard and their Success Kit for new Wine Guides. I’ve always thought the Traveling Vineyard had a fun and unique concept, but also ideal. After all, what’s always served at home shopping parties … you guessed it, wine! And who doesn’t love drinking free wine?!

The company started back in 2001 with the goal of making wine tastings less stuffy. Well, their relaxed vision took off and today the company has over 1,000 Wine Guides in over 40 states.

The Products:

The Traveling Vineyard has 21 different varieties of wine in 3 different categories: red, white, and sweet and fizzy. Besides wine, they also sell accessories such as chillers, decanters, and openers. Wines are priced from $14 – $25 per bottle and because it’s a consumable item people always need more. Best of all their wines have a guest satisfaction rating of over 98%.

Cost to Join:

In January you can become a Wine Guide for $174 ($99 for the Success Kit and $75 for your first two tasting sets). You can also earn an electric wine opener when you reach $750 in sales within your first 60 days. If you sell $1,400 within your first 60 days, you’ll also get a $50 rebate. (more…)

Why Business Competition Is Good!

Business Competition is GoodBy Deb Bixler

Is business competition something that you are concerned about?

If so, this is an attitude that will hold you back.

Instead of focusing on the number of other direct selling representatives in your area, put your efforts into understanding your marketing niche, collaboration, and networking to leverage yourself above the rest of the professionals in the home business industry.

When your business has a competitive-based fear, you are always working by yourself and for yourself.

Don’t Worry – Be Happy!

Why are you worried? Too many home business sales consultants in your area?

Let’s think about another industry for a minute.

Are there too many convenience stores?

Some people including myself will say yes to that. (more…)

Interview with Gina Whitehouse – Beachbody Health and Fitness Coach

Interview with Gina Whitehouse - Beachbody Health and Fitness CoachTell us how you got involved with Beachbody.

I had my first child in 2011 and a year later I knew I needed to do something to keep off the weight I had lost while nursing my daughter and tone my body. I needed to exercise. I had gym memberships in the past but I was never motivated to go. Now that I had a child there was no way I was going to bring her with me to the gym. It just took too much time to get myself and her ready, workout, and then come home. I knew working out at home was an option but I was hesitant to purchase a home workout DVD because I didn’t know if it would sit on my shelf or if I would actually do it. It was a month later that I saw a friend of mine had become a Beachbody Health & Fitness Coach and was offering an online accountability group. I joined the group and saw success with my weight loss! The accountability and encouragement was amazing. I knew that I could offer that to someone else! In August 2012 I signed up to be a coach.

My background is actually in residential home design. I studied architecture in college and worked for years as a designer. But, I knew I wanted to stay at home with my children when I decided to start a family. However, I found that the transition to working and staying at home was difficult. (more…)
