Home-Based Business Opportunities for Fashion LoversBy Holly Reisem Hanna

Do you love fashion? Would you love to have your own fashion boutique, but don’t have the funds to invest in a brick and mortar storefront?

No problem.

The direct sales industry has made it easier than ever to have your very own home-based business within the fashion industry. In my opinion, direct sales clothing companies geared towards women are some of the best in home-party plans out there.

Not only do most women LOVE new clothes, but it is something that every woman needs and that is regularly replaced and updated. Plus, when you’re selling clothes through the direct sales model, items tend to have a higher price point so your overall earnings will be higher. (more…)

Interview with Angie Heilgendorf – Independent Consultant for Restaurant.com

Interview with Angie HeilgendorfTell us a little bit about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey.

I am a mom of 3 children with a wonderful husband. I enjoy the outdoors and love meeting new people. I have been called a social butterfly most of my life. I have dabbled in many Direct Sale businesses over the years along with working in the restaurant industry most of my working life. Although I loved working in the restaurant and learning all aspects of how the place functioned, I felt I needed more time with my family.

That is how I came across Restaurant.com. It is the perfect fit for me! I am able to offer programs to help restaurants and small business with our new Double Deals Program and they are free for a business. I also get to offer people an amazing opportunity to do the same thing I do. I still get to be involved in the world I have known most of my life and can still help and meet great people. (more…)

What to Look for in a Home Party Business OpportunityBy Holly Reisem Hanna

One of the easiest ways to launch your own home-based business is to join a direct sales opportunity. Also known as multi-level marketing (MLM), personal selling or in home party plans, direct sales is the business of selling products or services face-to-face away from a brick and mortar location.

Here’s how it works… Companies offer starter kits that give you everything you need to launch your own home-based business. Most starter kits include catalogs, order forms, samples, products, business cards, training materials and your very own website. Generally your first prospects and buyers will be friends, family and acquaintances, you will then build your customer base by getting referrals. (more…)

Interview with Laura R. Miller – Sr. Manager and Independent Chocolatier for Dove Chocolate Discoveries

Interview with Laura MillerTell us a little bit about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey.

When people ask me to tell a little about myself, the first thought that comes to mind is Mommy of 2 young children and wife to hubby Jason Miller.  The truth is much more an entrepreneur.  Entrepreneurship has always run through my blood.   Little did I know that my first try at my own business, as a 16 year old with a few quarter vending machines placed around town, would foreshadow my future successful business with chocolate.  It wasn’t a straight path and there have been a few failed businesses along the way.

What did you do before launching your own business?

For many years I was happy being a stay at home mom and wife.  In fact, when I started my surprise chocolate business my son was only 5 months old. (more…)
