Being a work at home mom is amazing. Let’s face it; you have the best of both worlds… a 30 second commute to your office and the pleasure of spending as much time with your children as you want. Sadly, the biggest mistake that many mompreneur’s make is that they try to take their life and fit it into someone else calendar.

We’ve read and even heard many successful business owners talk about the importance of having a calendar and making a list and while those things are important many are still struggling. Handling Life Challenges & What It Has To Do With Business Challenges

I’m standing on the mat with my gloves on, ready to swing, punch and kick this heavy red bag in front of me. I was doing great until the pain of tired muscles kicked in. I’m pretty fit. I eat right, I’m lean, but I don’t work my muscles as consistently as I should. About halfway through class my arms were burning and my thighs were on FIRE! The thought of giving up crossed my mind, but as my instructor saw my fatigue, she got right in my face and screamed “keep your arms up”, “you can do it”, “give me all you got”. It lit a fire in me and I dug deeper to swing harder, kick higher, squat deeper, all while being blinded by sweat and still in pain.

You might be asking yourself “what does this have to do with me and what does this have to do with MY business?”

Whenever we decide to make a change, be it our fitness regimen, eating habits, finances, relationships, there comes a moment when things get really hard. So difficult that even the strongest of us women are reduced to tears.

I took that class because I made a decision, that as I approached my next birthday, I would be in the best shape of my life. (more…)
