Sam Willoughby, founder of What's On 4, thinks it's possible and has a pretty convincing case for it too.
Since 2006 What's On 4 Online Guides have been helping millions of parents in the UK, Australia, and Europe find groups and activities for their children and now they are coming to the US.
A What’s On 4 Franchise already gives many women across the world, a flexible, home-based business that fits perfectly around family-life. If you’ve been looking for a way to combine home-life with a rewarding and exciting career then don’t miss the chance to find out more.
Finding a Flexible Career Was Just the Start
Flexible working is at the foundation of What’s On 4, as it all started when owner Sam Willoughby found herself in the position of having a new baby and a very unsupportive employer who would not give her a flexible way to return to work.
“It was a real low point in my life” says Sam “I felt my whole career was being thrown away just because I wanted to spend time with my baby. Since then I’ve met many woman that found themselves in the same situation, they all wanted to use their skills and experience but work in a different way so they could still be there for their children as they grow up.”
Does this ring any bells with you?
Sam took things into her own hands by creating her first website www.whatson4littleones.co.uk for baby and toddler activities over 7 years ago, and hasn’t looked back. Since then the range of What’s On 4 websites have extended to include websites for school age children, kid's parties, grown-ups and also a large UK baby show and other live events.
The Key to Success
The websites have been international for over 2 years including Australia and Ireland, proving the success is not limited to the UK. What’s On 4 has won 10 business awards including 2 in Australia at the end of last year, and has support from many well-known brands such as Hilton Hotels.
Sam puts the success down to more than just the fantastic websites, “Yes, we have a good business model, but we also have the right attitude to making our business work, these combined have made us successful.”
However, Sam does stress that this is not a way to ‘get rich quick’ and that real hard work is needed. But she says, “if you are prepared to do this, you will receive a good income, build value into the franchise, and gain a lot of personal satisfaction as well.”
Sam is really excited about bringing What’s On 4 to the US. “We’ve proved that What’s On 4 works in other countries and I can’t wait to find people in the US that ‘get’ why we do what we do and how we do it. The US market is enormous and that’s what makes this so exciting.”
Could you be one of these people?
