Last month I was contacted by the folks at HP to review their HP Officejet 4500 Wireless All-In-One Printer. Myself being the owner of an HP printer already (that I purchased myself) was thrilled to review this sleek and compact printer.
Since I already own the HP Officejet 6500 All-In-One Printer, I decided to bring the Officejet 4500 printer over to my parent’s house and let them try it out. Set up is snap, directions are clear and easy to understand. In fact, the total process from start to finish only takes 10 – 15 minutes. The wireless function is a dream, you can print, scan or copy from anywhere in the house and you can easily add as many computers as you need (we added three different laptops).
This printer has all the functions that you’ll ever need, you can print, copy, fax and scan, and it also gives you the option to perform the function in black & white or color. The quality of the copy is very professional, and all functions are super easy to use. We didn’t get to fully try out the fax function, but when we tested out our cell phone to see if it would try and connect, it did just no fax machine on the other end.
This Energy Star qualified product is eco-friendly, using less than 1 watt of energy while in off mode and offering HP ink cartridges that contain up to 50% recycled plastic. It also has a junk fax blocker which will save you paper and ink.
The only issue we encountered was when we installed the software on my Dad’s laptop; we could not get the scan to save anywhere on his computer (all other functions worked properly). His laptop uses Windows Vista operating system, which I think was the problem because we had no issues with saving scans on the other laptops which used Windows XP and Windows 7. All in all, we loved this printer, it’s easy to use, compact, turns out high-quality copies and prints, quickly scans, copies and prints, and the wireless function is a great feature for a busy family running multiple computers.
Now, are you ready to experience the power of HP – Because we are giving away an HP 4500 Wireless All-In-One Printer to 1 lucky reader!
