How Many Social Networks Should You Belong to?
With as many as 250,000 social media type sites up and running, and with social networking sites being such effective places to network and promote your business, I often wonder how many social networks I should belong to?
I currently belong to six social media type sites; LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, Blog Catalog and Technorati; and I use each of them differently.

Repercussions of Blogging
Many stay at home moms, who want to create a second source of income, are jumping on the mommy blogging bandwagon. Blogging after all can be a wonderful opportunity for moms; it doesn’t require any special education, it can be done in the comfort of your own home, and it gives moms a way to interact socially with other moms.
The thing that makes mommy blogs so popular is that moms have a wealth of topics to write about. From poop explosions to interactions with the local play group, moms have an emotional connection to readers that many other niches can’t obtain.
But mommy bloggers beware; there can be negative repercussions to personal blogging. Nobody knows this better than Heather Armstrong of Dooce. Rated 24 out of the top 100 blogs by Technorati, Dooce is a mommy-themed blog with a loyal following of over 850,000 monthly readers. more
