Greetings Holly, Thank you so much for always making our remote work job search easier! Due to my living situation, I have no other option but to use Spectrum internet service, which can be sketchy at times. I feel that when I do the highspeed tests the results affects my chances of being hired even if I seem qualified. Do you know of any companies that are not too strict on remote workers using wifi service or hotspot? Thanks in advance and take care always!
Holly Reisem Hanna
Hi Carla,
You’re welcome!
Have you tried calling Spectrum and letting them know about your issues? I just had them out to fix our spotty connection, and it’s super fast now!
If you’re doing something other than customer service, like bookkeeping, graphic design, VA work, or social media, you can likely be connected via WIFI or hotspot.

Are there any work from home jobs that don’t require a high school diploma or GED?
Holly Reisem Hanna
U-Haul doesn’t require a diploma or GED for their customer service roles. You can also look at places like Rev, Appen, Telus, Cambly, and TranscribeMe, however, these are more side earners than full-time positions.
Have you thought about obtaining your GED online? Some states have grant programs where you can take it for free.

It’s Aira, here is how to become an agent and help people who are blind and have low vision:
https://aira.io/our-agents/
Good luck and keep me posted!
Anonymous
Aria may sound like a great job for people, like myself, who find fulfillment and purpose by helping others. Aria has a great concept which has the potential to be an extraordinary business that could provide a valuable and unique form of assistance to an often underserved demographic.
Unfortunately, my experience with Aria proved to be extremely frustrating not only for their contract workers who genuine want to help the clients, but for the clients who turn to the service when they are in desperate need of assistance. Clients call when they need help seeing the world around them due to visual impairment. Their call is then sent out by the company to one of their visual assistants who, in theory, will take the call and have the client use their device to show the assistant what it is they need help to read/see/navigate, etc. More often than not, the call will get disconnected before you are able to provide the assistance the client needed and Aria doesn’t provide an option for a client to call back and request to speak with a specific agent, so for example, I was helping a man read troubling shooting steps for a problem he was having with his computer, which I happen to have a fair amount of knowledge about the issue he was experiencing. I was 12 minutes in to walking him through the steps he needed to get his computer functioning properly when the call was disconnected. His only option was to call Aria and start over with a different assistant who may not know anything about fixing computers. Dropped calls occured with 90% of the calls I received. The company is not focused on the clients needs and run by a management team plagued with nepotism. Management is hired based solely on how close you are personally to the owners, regardless if you’re qualified for management roles or not.
They also show favoritism on which assistants the client’s calls are routed to, so unless you know the owners personally, it may be weeks or months before you even get the chance to take a call from a client. There is no opportunity for advancement, and if you need help clarifying information about the service, company policies, etc., management will leave you hanging with no help from them at all. I was beyond frustrated every day because the lack of leadership and failure to address technically issues caused me to let my clients down and prevented me from providing the assistance the genuinely needed. Which at times, would result in my clients being left in potentially dangerous situations because I was helping them navigate while walking outside when the call was disconnected. It was infuriating honestly at how little concern the owners have for the physical and emotional well-being of their clients.
I did everything in my power to bring to the attention of management how often the service not only failed to provide the assistance genuinely needed by clients who are relying on Aria to provide the services they promise, and to also address the fact that by advertising a service to those who are visually impaired that promises to provide assistant to complete a necessary visual task then failing to have the technical ability or management skills to provide the service the clients call to rely on to be their eyes, is nothing short of irresponsible and cruel to do people in need. The company is incapable of delivering the service they advertise due to a lack of focus on the well-being of the clients. The company preys in the vulnerability of the people who genuinely need the service Aria claims to provide but fails to deliver. I quit because I genuinely couldn’t handle letting my clients down when they depended in the company for help.
Holly Reisem Hanna
Thanks for sharing your experience. That is disappointing to hear.

This is a great Post! Especially in a time like the one we are in today, working from home has opened so many doors for so many people who may otherwise be left without one, and moms who do want flexibility. Thank you for putting it together, I will actually be referring my subscribers to it, it is extremely useful. It is good to point out that this is a worldwide phenomenon, and for people in the united states, opportunities for remote jobs can be found even internationally, since English is arguably the most sought-after language expertise by international companies in countries with a growing online presence, such as Brazil and Panama. Again, great work, this is a much-needed post.

Thank you for the great list! I currently work in a high-paced, high demand, high stress job as an escrow officer. i’m currently on leave due to stress and anxiety. My anxiety has gotten so bad that i can’t go back to work. i don’t know what kind of work from home job to get into. i don’t want to deal with customers all day or be on the phone. I also need a job that pays (well), as i am the sole breadwinner of my family. Talk about pressure. i would love to blog, but it’s so confusing trying to build the website…and i don’t know if i could actually make money from it (there are so many “blogging” scams out there). do you have any recommendations? thanks in advance!

I am also a work at home woman! Thank you for this blog post, it lists a ton of opportunities that I did not know even existed. :-) I would like to share one work-from-home opp that I found a few years ago. It is for freelance writing with an online platform called Ultius, Inc. They only hire USA based writers and what they do is connect you with clients who need help with their own writing. So you pair up with them using the platform and then the client can place orders and request you. I have a handful of repeat clients, which is a plus. Compensation is more than fair, roughly $10 per page, and I get paid twice a month. If anyone is or was an English major, like me, https://www.ultius.com/careers/writers.html I highly recommend this opportunity. :-)

Just to follow up on the Direct Sales Opportunities section: I am a consultant for Scout & Cellar and I sell wine! Who doesn’t love wine? But it’s not just wine, it’s completely Clean-Crafted, so health conscious and fitness minded people LOVE it. It’s a young company so the opportunities are huge! I would say that 95% of what I do is from home, on social media or the computer. I do maybe two tastings per month. Not only is the product fantastic, but I’m having so much fun learning so much about wine. AND I’ll be deducting all of the wine that I buy on my taxes next year :)
Victoria
Hi Andrea,
I would like very much to get involved with Scout and Cellar as a consultant. I’m a wine enthusiast and love the idea of learning about clean wine. Do I need a referral to apply? Please let me know next steps so I can get started. Thank you so much!

Are these new job links or are they the same you’ve been sending? The comments go back to October but I don’t see an edit date to show new links added. I don’t want to waste my time re-reading the same post every week as I have already pulled the jobs I’m interested in and have limited time to search with a newborn. Thank you!

I am an ESL teacher for VIPKid and I love it! I can work as much or as little as I like depending on what I have going on each week. The curriculum is already made by the company and the kids are eager to learn. All you need is a bachelor s degree. Any kind of experience working with kids is great too. It was an answer to my prayers when I found this job last year and I feel so great being able to make money and be at home with my kids. And Happy New Year!

Hi,
I’m very new to this site and VERY happy that I’ve found this. I see that you have the jobs listed for Work From Home and I have worked from home recently and left the job to pursue my dream Job as a Flight Attendant. I didn’t make it through training and am now at my mom’s house in Alabama. I really need to find a WFH job and I’m trying to make sure the internet is steady here. I was taking technical support calls for Apple through a company and hope to find that again.
Thank you for what you are doing and I ?? that others find this as well. Thank you!
