Awww… I really like this. Too bad it’s for US Residents only. I used to work as a sales executive in an IT distribution company and WD Passports & MyBooks were some of the products I sold. Why I didn’t buy one for myself back then is a mystery to me.
This may be a crazy question, have any of these ever failed? In other words has anyone ever completely trusted one of these devises and something go wrong and they lose everything? I’m just curious, i’m looking for some better way of saving files and if this is the best then it’s what i’m looking for. Thanks in advance.

I’ve always asked myself the same question! I think that you should always have the important stuff in more than one place; cloud storage can be a good option to back-up your stuff.

My company is a shark-diving charity for cancer survivors. I could use this to safely store and back-up our shark diving videos and photos! Do they make a waterproof version;)

I’m a new mother and my husband and I took a lot of pictures of our son and we are quickly running out of disk space on our laptop so we would put this 1 TB WD external HDD to good use because we would be able to create back ups, put pictures on the external HDD and store them away in our fireproof lockbox for safe keeping!
