Have I ever told you how much I love Twitter? I love that I am able to quickly connect with people from all over the world; one of those connections that I recently made was with Diana Ennen, author, publicist and business owner. After checking out The Work at Home Woman, Diana contacted me on Twitter to see if I would be interested in reviewing her book, Virtual Assistant: Become a Highly Successful, Sought After VA. Knowing that many of readers are interested in becoming Virtual Assistants, I gladly accepted.
In today’s unsteady economy, many businesses and organizations are reaping the benefits that are associated with using Virtual Assistants (VA), by decreasing the costs associated with rent, equipment, overhead and insurance benefits. Even author, Timothy Ferriss talks about the benefits of utilizing a virtual assistant in his wildly popular book, The Four Hour Work Week.
While the Bureau of Labor Statistics is far behind the trend, this article written by Anita Campbell indicates that the Virtual Assistant field will continue to grow and expand as companies scramble to jump on the social media and blogging bandwagon. Anita says, “Virtual assistants are now being hired to write/proofread blog posts; update MySpace and Facebook pages; comment on forums; perform social bookmarking; compose Twitter tweets to publicize new blog posts; and a variety of other social-media activities”.
