I am an Independent Team Beachbody Coach, having begun this home business in April 2010. As an online fitness Coach I help men and women abandon the “on again, off again” roller coaster of exercise by setting them up with a home workout, solid nutrition, and, our KEY ingredient – PEER SUPPORT. In 2010 at 40, I had reached a point where I was emotionally, mentally, and physically . . . fuzzy. I was determined NOT to have my 40’s turn out to be one of defeat, and thus, I became a Coach, first for my own physical well-being (when one talks about fitness in for their job, it’s easier to find success), and to earn extra money for my family. I am now providing accountability to customers and business training to Coaches on our team. I am continuing my commitment to being physically and financially fit through Team Beachbody.

Joline, I wanted to be a Beachbody, but could not afford the full package to start. I did not think I would be able to succeed taking the cheaper route. What is your advice? Would I be able to succeed the cheaper way?

I am with a direct Sales Company called Celadon Road. We have all natural eco-friendly products and 78% are from USA and others are fair trade products. The company is amazing! They truly believe in what they are doing. WIth every home or book party they plant a tree in honor of the hostess and donate shoes to Soles4Souls. 1% of every consultants sales goes to a charity of their choice. They believe in purchasing with a purpose and finding everyones shade of green. Since finding this ground floor company I have found my shade of green and every day it changes! There are many ways the products have helped my family! I try to teach others about the products in hopes that they will see the toxins in the products they are using at home. I can not believe what I have learned so far! To be honest I started because it was a new direct sales company. Plus the trees, the shoes and 1% back all gave me chills when I heard it. I had no idea about the chemicals in the products and didn’t care. Now I care. I don’t even purchases baggies any more!! Now I am in it to share with everyone! It truly is a blessing!!
Thank you and I hope to be picked for a Monday feature!

Hey Holly!! I created a membership-based website called that gives nursing moms all the info they need about what they should/shouldn’t eat while nursing, plus meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, etc, plus direct access to a Registered Dietitian (my best friend and business partner). We have also created which appeals to everyone (not just nursing moms) and have many other sites in the works. We believe that we have great info to help lots of people, but we just have to reach them first!

I would love the opportunity to be a featured business! Thanks so much for being such a huge help to WAHMs and business owners!

Hi and thanks for this chance to share my business with you! I created my small business, Queasy Beads ~ Stylish Motion Sickness & Nausea Relief Bracelets, out of necessity! I have always struggled with migraine headaches which also cause me to feel nauseous. About 6 years ago, I was suffering from yet another migraine and decided to try acupressure wristbands to help settle my nauseous stomach. Well, they worked but I absolutely hated the way they looked (like grey sweatbands on my wrists!) So, I went searching for a fashionable pair of acupressure bracelets to wear and there were none to be found. So, being a fashion design major in college…I decided to design a pair for myself! They worked just as well as the ugly wristbands but looked much prettier! When I shared them with family and friends, they were a huge hit. I soon found out they work for motion sickness, morning sickness, perimenopause, and lots more. So, a few years ago I decided to share them with everyone and created a website and FB fan page. Now I even sell Queasy Beads on Etsy! I love what I do ~ helping women (and some men) feel better! Also, it’s been fun giving us all a fashionable alternative to acupressure wristbands. Queasy Beads bracelets work great and look great, too! *Thanks!*

As moms, we are inundated with our children’s artwork. Some of these “masterpieces” are displayed throughout the house, but most of it is often packed away in cartons never to be seen again. I created PrintArtKids as the solution to this common frustration. PrintArtKids transforms these “masterpieces” into fun, practical, every-day items such as notepads, holiday cards, thank-you notes and journals. Kids love to share their creations with family and friends. By providing the incentive for kids to be creative, PrintArtKids offers children a unique way to build their confidence and self-esteem, while giving parents useful ways in which to enjoy their children’s artwork.

Hi I am the owner of KL’s Cupboard Blog which features a mish-mash of articles, but most importantly focuses on my home based business with Country Gourmet Home – a direct seller of gourmet food mixes and wickless wax melts. County Gourmet Home has been around since 1996 growing at a slow, but steady pace. We are proud that this is a family run company with no investors – which means no debt! All of our mixes are handmade with no preservatives, no MSG and contain real fruit and vegetables. Not only are they wholesome, they are easy to make and most only require the addition of one or two ingredients! We take the stress out of “What’s for Dinner?”. Our wickless wax melts are made by our own Mr. Mom – a.k.a. Shane, the hubby of the pair that owns the company. His melts are out of this world wonderful and all are made with non hazardous human grade safe ingredients! I would love the opportunity to have my company featured, thank you so much!

I am a mother to 3 boys, designer and innovator. My company Tivoli Couture was born out of necessity to offer innovative, utilitarian and stylish baby gear and accessories for busy parents on the go. We offer ‘Practical Luxury’ for strollers, car seats and baby carriers. Our staple product is the NuComfort Memory Foam stroller pad and seat liner. First there were Tempur-Pedic mattresses and pillows, and now parents can appreciate the only patent-pending Stroller Seat Cushion lined with Visco Elastic Memory Foam for superior comfort. It’s Chiropractor recommended to avoid musculoskeletal stress and support the correct anatomical development. High Density Memory Foam self-adjusts to the child’s individual contours to reduce pressure points and help absorb stroller shock. The pad also helps prevent a “flat-head” syndrome that some babies are prone to due to spending a lot of time on their back.

We don’t sleep on bare mattresses, then why would anyone place their child on a bare stroller seat, especially an infant in the summer? Typical stroller upholstery is not removable and machine washable, is made of harsh polyester that is rough and abrasive on baby’s delicate skin. Many strollers do not provide adequate padding and some have metal frame protruding through the seat. Tivoli Couture stroller liners also protect your stroller from crumbs, spills and other unmentionables. We work with modern fabric prints as well as classy and sophisticated designs to suit any style and taste to go with today’s fabulous strollers and fashion forward moms styles.

I try to get my older sons involved in the business whenever I can and hope to continue to inspire them and teach them leadership, creativity, time management, organizational skills, to be passionate and compassionate, to be able to identify and seize the right opportunity.

Thank you for this chance to share my story with you.

Hi, thanks for inviting us to do this:)

I started Trifecta Strategies, LLC -( an online writing and marketing company with a friend of mine. We are both moms of young kids and provide online content to an international client base. What we are most excited about, however, is how we help other writers start their own writing business. We are starting a new class on March 4th for people who want to learn how to write for the online market (, which is kind of a sister-course from our original Make Money From Writing e-course.

Thanks again and I hope to hear from you!

I have been involved in direct sales for 17 years! 16 years with and 1 year with Starting my business with Thirty One was purely a business choice! They are an amazing, faith based company that is new and growing quickly! Marketing & growing a home based business from a rural community can be difficult! I love working from home but people don’t realize my store never closes! lol That’s a blessing and a curse! Having the backing of a corporation to help with literature, training and products make direct sales a great choice for many! Make as little or as much as you want depending how much you want it! Thank you for the opportunity to recognize work from home mothers and putting direct sales in the spotlite!

Wow. I’m just thrilled to have the chance to share my business with others. It’s very unique and exciting because I don’t have to sell products, but pay people instead. I am a Gold Broker with a company called The Gold Refinery. I buy old, broken gold and silver thru home parties and private buys. My Hosts get paid to have their party and their guests leave happy. The concept is genius and it’s really changing my family’s income.
We are all about People Helping People. When I hand people their cash for selling, they are so happy and it thrills me that I could help them pay their bills or give them extra spending money. It’s a very rewarding business. Thank you for letting us share!

I am the owner/designer of Comfy Cozy, inc. I create Glow-in-the-Dark Pillowcases with whimsical and inspirational designs. It all began when I hand painted some pillowcases for my young nieces & nephews to help them conquer their fear of the dark. From there the line expanded to include designs that also inspire and motivate all ages. After my first son was born, I developed a line of “start at any month” Photo/Sticker keepsake calendars to make up for my inability to keep up with his baby book & lack of scrapbooking skills! The line now extends thru age 16. Being a work at home mom is challenging, but when my boys leave the nest, I know I won’t have missed a moment of their lives!

    Nancy Lundy says:

I’m Nancy Lundy of It’s About Time Coaching, a personal time management coach who wants to save people from a life of craziness and despair. I know these people and I know how outrageous their life can be from time to time. I was them and in some cases, I still am.

Many years ago, I worked full-time as an corporate event planner in the city while raising two young children. My day consisted of dropping the children at the sitter at 6:30 a.m., traveling into the city, working until about 5:30 p.m. – sometimes later If I was busy with an upcoming event, traveling home, picking up the kids, cooking dinner for them and my husband, sometimes doing homework, sleeping (not very often), waking up the next day to do it all again. Weekends consisted of birthday parties, cleaning, food shopping, laundry, sleep (not very often). Hmmm, not too much Nancy time there. I was pretty much meeting myself at the front door. I was not eating healthy, not exercising, meditation — nope, praying — nope (well, maybe – for a full-night’s sleep). Looking back, I call this time my Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde days. Sound familiar?

Just for the record, I wouldn’t change a thing – not one, damn thing.

I want to help people recognize that they are worthy of the investment to learn the time management tools to evaluate how to spend their time and determine if changes need to be made to their schedules.

From my own past experiences, I’ve developed, learned and demonstrated successful coaching strategies and tools to obtain more balance in my own life. Through meditation, prayer and hard work, I’ve become a certified personal time management coach, an entrepreneur, a full time mom of two fantastic, well-grounded children, survived over 20 years of marriage to a handsome, supportive husband. I continue to work full-time, manage my household while still making time for dinner with friends, a few nights out with my husband, daily meditation and prayer all while finally learning how to rid myself of a life-long sugar addiction. I am a work in progress and that took me many years to realize and appreciate.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    Hi Holly,

Hope I’m finding you well! My name is Crystal Rim, digital publicist for 2 Chix (, a chic, LA-based maternity, baby and daddy apparel line. I’d like to suggest the founders Amy Bright and Natasha Koudsi for a possible Mompreneur highlight as they have an amazing story to tell as former struggling actresses who became successful businesswomen instead!

Amy and Natasha, two best friends, were two frustrated actresses looking to fulfill a creative void. The two began a hand-made greeting card line of quippy slogans that included pregnancy and shower cards. Friends raved over them and suggested they slap them on some tees. A zillion hours of custom t-shirt designing and a dozen bottles of Trader Joe’s 2-buck-chuck later, 2 Chix was born.

The LA-based maternity, baby, toddler and daddy t-shirt and apparel line serves as a clothing line for the family and is loved for its witty novelty sayings about pregnancy and the journey of motherhood such as “Pregzilla,” “What’s Kickin’,” and “Baby Fat.” Beginning as simply a maternity apparel line, the two ladies aimed to keep customers comfy and chic and bring a little levity to those 9 long months. Humor and comfort can go a long way after all.

An exciting venture that started in 2004 has become an established and loved brand for many mom bloggers, celebrities and locals. More so, the two women have wonderful tips to help aspiring WAHMs or mompreneurs find balance in juggling their family and budding careers or companies.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a mom with an attraction to traditional paper invitations, announcements, and stationery sent to recipients with a good, old-fashioned stamp. I began receiving more and more important celebrations and acknowledgements via email and I still believe in quality, postal delivered invitations, announcements, and thank you cards. It was out of my attraction and desire to send specialty stationery to announce the birth of my own children, celebrate their birthdays, and thank friends and family that Printed Sugar was founded in 2010. My sheer love of beautiful paper, the classic handwritten note, invitations and announcements sent in the mail, and my neurotic passion for organization has given me the opportunity to offer various invitations and announcements as the sweet, perfect, and unique solution needed to announce life’s sweet celebrations. Each item is reviewed and hand selected with the customer in mind. Our products range from classic to funky pieces and everything in between, above, and below.

I’m an Independent Distributor with Zija, International. I started out as just a customer. After I had life-changing results with the product, I simply was looking to get my product paid for, so I started the business. Little did I know that this was a ground-floor opportunity to help others with their health and wealth. Also, an opportunity for me to fulfill my dreams of being a stay-at-home Mom, and to own my own life. I have a special place in my heart for helping other women get control of their health, their family’s health, and improve their family’s finances at the same time. It’s amazing what a woman can accomplish if she is committed, determined, and won’t quit!!

    Thank you so much!

Thanks for the opportunity! I am a former corporate marketer turned entrepreneur. I teach etiquette and social graces to children to prepare them for future personal and professional success. I often witness the lack of etiquette among children and, if taught early, their behavior can change. It is never too early to engrain etiquette in our children.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to be featured on The Work at Home Woman. I am the inventor/designer/manufacturer of the Peachick Pacifier Pouch. The Peachick Pacifier Pouch ties to the outside of baby’s crib and stores extra pacifiers. I started this business after making a Pacifier Pouch for myself as a way to keep my daughter’s pacifiers close at hand in the middle of the night. After realizing what a lifesaver it was in my own house, I knew other moms would love it too. And so my business was born. Thanks again for your consideration.

    Hi Holly!
The HopeFULL Company offers kits used to make delicious and nutritious frozen pops at home using whole food ingredients, nut oils and butters, milks and yogurts. Our products are designed to make eating enjoyable for everyone, specifically for children and adults who are suffering from illness, experiencing medical treatment such as chemotherapy, or have sensory issues or picky eating patterns. We are also on a mission to raise awareness surrounding eating difficulties, particularly due to cancer and autism.

The HopeFULL Company came to fruition in a beautiful, organic way through a family friend who was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in 2009.

Like many people undergoing chemotherapy treatments, eating was no longer an enjoyable activity for her. She struggled to find foods that she could tolerate and that would give her enough calories and nutrition. Knowing we both made homemade baby food for our children, she asked us to make her meals which were small in portion, packed with nutrition and without strong flavors. We were thrilled to help and dove enthusiastically into the project.

A week later we delivered our frozen “whole-food pops” (now known as HopeFULLs) to our friend, each with a unique message of hope. The HopeFULLs satisfied her pallet, soothed her mouth sores and filled her tummy with healthy fat, protein, calories and nutrients when she needed it most. We also brought with us a message of hope and peace.

Due to the popularity The HopeFULL Gift Pack had with parents and grand parents, we launched The BellyFULL Kit. This kit was inspired out of a desire to introduce whole foods to our young children in a way that nurtures their curiosity for food, fosters a love of whole foods and desire to eat healthy. The BellyFULL Kit makes it easy to introduce whole foods to young children in an adventurous, playful way. Our frozen BellyFULLs make eating whole foods fun for kids, and preparing them together can create memories which will last a lifetime!

Although our products were designed to help people struggling with eating difficulties they are enjoyed by everyone!

    All my best,

    Jessica Welsch

Thanks Holly! I started Arizona Moms Network a year ago this month, which is a growing way for moms to connect in Arizona and support local businesses too. I started Arizona Moms Network after starting a local National Mom’s Nite Out event and finding ways to publicize an event with less than 3 months notice was incredibly difficult. I wanted to provide an easier way for people to be able to promote their event!

Hi Holly – I am a National Director for ViSalus Sciences, a direct sales health & wellness company that promotes a nutrition & weight loss shake called the ViShake, along with a wide variety of other supplemental products. I’ve been with the company now for 7 months & have advanced to the rank of National Director! I also work a full-time college teaching job, but work almost full-time also in ViSalus right now.

I love helping people lose weight, feel better, and most of all improve their health! The stories we hear of so many lives being changed makes what I do totally worth it!

My ultimate goal is to work my ViSalus business full-time and quit my teaching job, which has a 45 mile commute each way, so I can spend more time with my family and be available for my children (ages 9 & 3) when they need me. I love the opportunity to make an executive level income while working from home!

Hi Holly–I’d love to be featured. My name is Laura Schaefer. I’m the author of The Teashop Girls (Simon & Schuster 2009) and The Secret Ingredient (Simon & Schuster 2011). I now write and publish a series of e-books for kids called Planet Explorers Travel Guides for Kids.

My latest title, Epcot 2012, is a guidebook for readers aged 8-12. With fun facts, tips, and active hyperlinks for kids who want to dig a little deeper into everything Epcot, the e-book guide is designed to be read on smart phones, Kindles, Nooks or iPads.

I wanted to give kids an easy way to become vacation experts. The whole philosophy behind the series is empowering kids. The Planet Explorers guides live right on Kindles, Nooks or smartphones. E-book technology allows readers to jump from information about the Spaceship Earth attraction to a website about artist Michelangelo, who is featured in the ride. The format is perfect for young readers. It’s all there, linked and ready to go. Writing Epcot 2012 was a blast. I love history and I’ve been a middle school curriculum writer for over a decade, so my guidebooks definitely have a “social studies” feel to them.

Planet Explorers guidebooks cut out all the stuff kids would find boring if they looked through a regular travel guide and focus on attractions and fun facts. The guides have a lot of pictures and even include a quiz at the end. A lot of parents have told me they’re excited about the easy way the guidebooks incorporate learning about geography, history, art and science into real-life experiences.

I loved traveling as a kid. I want to empower my readers to be part of planning vacations with their parents. That way, the trip is more fun and fulfilling for the whole family. There are currently Planet Explorers titles for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, London, Las Vegas, SeaWorld, Universal Orlando, and more. Thank you!

    Good morning Holly,

Rachel Blaufeld suggested I contact you in regards to my product SassaB.

My 5th grade daughter Brooke’s minor hair emergency on picture day took an unexpectedly fun turn when I had the idea to take a charm from her own bracelet and slide it onto a bobby pin for Brooke to wear in her hair. Brooke’s reaction upon looking in the mirror and announcing “I love it! I’m going to start a trend!”, is what kick-started me into overdrive. I knew this was “it”, and SassaBLLC was born.

Within six months of launching in October 2011, SassaB landed prominent sales space in Tampa Bay area Walgreens and local boutiques, and can also be found online at Amazon and “isn’t this clever”. Recently featured on NBC Channel 8 WFLA with Gayle Guyardo, the buzz about these linkable charms is getting louder. Managers from out of area Walgreens are calling Tampa Bay stores due to calls they are receiving from customers looking for SassaB and wanting to know when they will carry them and where they can find them now. It’s a crazy busy, exciting time and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

What makes SassaB unique are the links found on the bottom of each charm, allowing them to be connected together in a multitude of ways, using as many charms as you like. Not just for hair, kids are showing off their SassaB style on backpacks, shoes/boots and zippers. They’re creating bracelets, necklaces, belts, and more. Some of the current designs include suns, peace signs, hearts, panda bears and cows. I will be expanding the line of designs soon and see SassaB as the newest trend that kids will be wearing, sharing, and trading.

To see some SassaB Style, please visit our website and don’t miss the press section where you can see our news segment along with reading our latest reviews.

Thanks Holly! I look forward to hearing from you!

    >This solution is a result of a ‘disaster’ at our own daughter’s wedding when she spilled RED ravioli sauce down the front of her beautiful beaded gown. We spent about 20 minutes in the bathroom, her in tears and me diligently trying to dab the stain out with club soda, while the wedding guests were wondering where the Bride disappeared to. We kept thinking about the pictures of her cutting the wedding cake, dancing with her Daddy, etc with a red blob on her bodice. Yuk!

That incident started me thinking that if only we had some sort of bib – viola`. I designed and started making bibs to give as gifts to our friends and was encouraged to sell them online. The reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. We attended the Wedding Merchants Business Assoc conference in Las Vegas last September with the intention of participating in the workshops. Amazingly, every time I handed out our business card, people remarked “what a great idea”. Carly Roney, Founder/CEO of asked me to send her a bib to her New York office (and since has sent me the nicest hand-written thank you note); Amy from asked me to send one to Elizabeth the Editor, and the beautiful Kathy Ireland, who was the keynote speaker, held up one of our bibs during our photo op with her. We did not solicit that.

However, Brides don’t realize they need one and some have said it was silly. Yet, once they think about it…. I can’t tell you how many stories I have heard from Brides (and Grooms) who had an issue. One misconception is that they would wear it all the time. We need more education on the purpose of the bridal bib.

We recently conducted a survey of Brides and found that 84.9% admitted they were worried about spilling on their gown; 56.9% said they would wear a bib/covering to protect their dress; 71.3% said they would be pleased to get a bridal bib as a gift; and 62.7% of the Brides said they would give one as a gift.
