Interview with Suzanne Stillwell – Brand Partner, Nerium AD Skincare
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey.
I have owned my own clothing store for 8 years, and was looking for a way to supplement my income as my 18 year old daughter is off to college this Fall in Savannah GA. I was introduced to Nerium AD by a close friend in California that had been using the product for a fungal infection caused by acrylic nails with great results … she told me the product could be used for wrinkles and discoloration as well.
Having grown up at the beach, I really was interested, as my skin shows signs of sun damage and I am not the type for laser or botox. Thirty days later I was convinced this was a product I would gladly share with friends and am living proof it works. I love this product because not only can I make extra money, but I love sharing the product because everyone that uses it is happy and their lives are improved. What could be better?
What did you do before launching your own business?
I have been in retail sales and own a children’s clothing store, and product development primarily in the apparel business. Being my own boss is great as I had been a single mom for many years and needed a flexible schedule.
How did you fund your direct sales business?
This direct sales business requires less that $500 to start, and you make money immediately as a Brand Partner that sells Nerium. This was definitely within my budget. You can earn an iPad in 30 days, or a Lexus lease with their incentive sales programs.
How many hours do you work a week and how much is spent is your home office?
I work about and two hours a day – an hour in my office at home, and an hour meeting potential customers in my area.
How would you rate your success?
I am new to the company, but have already recouped my initial investment in 60 days. I have a great team to work with and have been successful in marketing with friends and neighbors. This is a product people want to try as it is not a system. It is one product used as a night cream.
What has been your biggest business struggle as an entrepreneur?
Keeping on track with improvements in my company’s marketing materials – they are updating daily. The company is only 9 months old and exploding.
What advice would you give to a new direct sales consultant?
Do what makes you happy – don’t sell out for the money. The money will follow!
How do you manage all of your personal and business activities?
My iPad and iPhone … love them.
