ORGANO, formerly called Organo Gold is a worldwide, direct sales company that sells healthy coffee, tea, body management drinks, and personal care products. They have been around since 2008 and are managed by Bernardo Chua, Shane Morand, and Holton Buggs.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey.
I’m a wife and mother of two children, Kennedy and Blake. My husband and I always wanted our own business and the chance to have the freedom from not working for someone else. We wanted to have as much time with our family as possible.
When another married couple introduced us to the Organo Gold opportunity, we immediately saw a way out. Organo Gold is not just about coffee; we bring the treasures of the earth to the people of the world. We are bringing the “King of Herb” to the masses, and coffee is the vessel. Today people are looking to live longer, healthier lives, and the health and wellness niche is a multi-billion dollar industry. The Ganoderma in our products has hundreds of health benefits.
In 2011, Fortune Magazine named Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbucks, the number #1 businessman in the world. We were asked, knowing what we know now about Starbucks if we had the opportunity to invest in the company ten years ago, would we do it, of course, we said absolutely.
Coffee is an 80 billion dollar a year industry. That’s the reason we decided to start our business with this company. Organo Gold is in 20 countries and growing daily. Coffee has been around since the 12th century, and it’s recession-proof. Coffee is the second most consumed beverage after water. Coffee is the second traded commodity after oil. Wall Street has named coffee as the new black gold.
When we saw this, we knew we would not only be able to become financially free, but also create freedom for our children. We jumped at the opportunity!
What did you do before joining ORGANO?
I’m a nurse. I make great money, but I’ve always aspired to have financial freedom. I didn’t like the idea of someone else becoming rich from my labor and my time. My time is too precious; I’d rather spend that time with the ones who matter most, my family.
How much does it cost to become an ORGANO Direct Sales Consultant?
To start with Organo Gold the startup cost range from $49.95 -$1,295. With the $49.95 startup cost, this gives the person a website, a business kit, and access to the products at wholesale price. So the people that we see who start at this level purchase the products at whole and resale them at retail, the retail price is determined by the distributor, earnings from retail range from 50-500%. We often see business owners who wish to sell coffee by the cup in their establishments; others set up a kiosk in malls, beauty salons, spas, person-to-person sales, fundraisers, etc. This person makes their profit strictly from retail sales.
The Bronze Package ($199.95) includes the personalized website, the business start-up kit, and 13 boxes of our products. The person who starts at bronze also can profit from retail sales, as well as team-building and earnings up to 10% of their team member’s sales and fast track bonuses.
The Silver Package ($499.95) includes all of the above, as well as 31 boxes of assorted product and earning of 15% of the team members sales, the Gold Package ($1,295) receives all of the above, as well as 81 boxes of assorted products and earnings of 20% of the team member’s sales. The reason that we decided to start our business with this company is that we are paid eight ways and that this isn’t a pyramid. We are paid off of the efforts of others as well as ourselves. How many hours do you work a week and how much is spent in your home office?
I work on the business 3-4 hours per day. I spend 2 hours daily in my home office; I spend the other 2 hours networking outside of the home. The rest of my day is spent with my family.
How would you rate your success?
Let me say, the compensation in the company is like none ever seen in the history of direct sales. According to Business for Home, we have the best and top compensation plan ever! Because we have plugged into the system and stuck to the simple four steps of training our success has been phenomenal.
We are growing daily; we have spas and salons preparing to exclusively sell our products. We have team members we are joining, and growing our business as well. Because coffee is in a universal language, we have teammates in Italy, Canada, Jamaica, and in the Philippines. Whenever they are selling or consuming products, my husband and I profit. Organo Gold as a company’s success is phenomenal; we have 11 of the top income earners from direct sales out of 100. We have numerous multi-millionaires in our company. We have hundreds of members making five figures per week. The reason is, it’s easy, it’s simple, it’s coffee. Billions of cups are consumed daily. We are in a business that is the economy equalizer.
What has been your biggest business struggle as a direct sales consultant?
Overthinking this business. Organo Gold has incredible leadership. We have an actual school, OG University, where we have access to classes, training videos, and publications. We are trained by the #2 direct sales income earner in the world. He has shown us how simple this business is. It’s coffee, we don’t have to sell our consumers on this, and they are drinking it anyway. The fact that we offer a healthy coffee makes our product the right option. The sooner we began following the four easy steps taught by the company, our business took off.
What advice would you give to a new direct sales consultant?
This is your business. It’s as successful as you make it. There are others making huge amounts of money in this company, not because they had outrageous sales tactics. But by following four simple steps will change your life.
