Do you work at home?
I do not consider it work because I love what I do. I do generate my income from home based business activities.
How many hours do you work a week?
This is a hard question because as I said, I do not consider it work. I put about 30 hours per week into office time. I go out of the house to do demos and speaking events 3-4 times per week.
Tell us a little bit about your company and how you got started.
Dedicated to improving the quality of family life through education, DebBixler.com focuses on teaching families healthy living choices and direct sellers how to create consistent income from home in their home businesses.
As a trained chef, after a successful 30 year career in the hospitality industry I got tired of going to work for someone else. I started a party plan business and used my skills in public speaking to generate leads and incorporated all the business skills that created a success in the corporate world and was able to replace my income in 9 months. I then quit my full time job.Because of my success in direct sales I achieved top 20 president’s club award 6 years in a row and utilized party plan basically for the total household income during that time. As a healthy living-good-for-you food geek, I continued to teach healthy living along side my home party plan business and soon found myself in popular demand as a speaker for other direct selling companies.
I now teach direct sellers how to create consistent cash flow in their home businesses at seminars and online education with MP3 downloads and CD programs. Create a Cash Flow Show is a direct sales resource center with hundreds of pages of FREE recordings, videos, articles and other tools and resources.
The healthy side of my business is all about food. With school programs for all grade levels, corporate education, diet programs as well as a local cooking show, I am all over the map when it comes to healthy living.
How would you rate your success from 0 – 10?
This is hard because I am very successful as work at home entrepreneur. I have areas of my business that I would like to be more successful and must be patient. Life is good so I will go with an 8. You do not always get what you want.
How do you manage all of your personal and business activities?
I have been asked to do workshops on time management. You can not manage time. You can only manage your commitments. Like everyone else I have too many commitments. I never allow my commitments to overshadow my health. Your health is your biggest asset and we should all treat it as such.
What has been your biggest business struggle?
Remembering to take a day off!! I schedule them and then forget!
What are your 3 favorite websites or blogs?
(I guess you do not want my own here!)
What advice would you give to a new entrepreneur or direct sales consultant?
People never fail, only systems fail. If you are not getting the results you want then find a new system. The only way to fail in direct sales is to quit, so find some systems that work and stick with your business long enough to achieve success.
