Back in May, I flew out to California (along with seven other fashion bloggers) to hang out with the cabi team. I’ve worked with cabi numerous times over the past seven years, and every time I walk away with some new insight into this generous and fun company that’s run by women.
Cheers to cabi Blogger Day
The day started off with a champagne toast and breakfast; we also got to sit down and talk to cabi’s President, Kimberly Inskeep. The neat thing about cabi is it was launched by 12 friends, all women, who are still with the company today (with the exception of Carol Anderson, she retired a couple of years ago). The company culture definitely has a family feel, which is one of the reasons I believe cabi has such a high retention rate within the direct sales industry.
After breakfast, we got to get up close and personal with Becky Jantzen and Kat Woodside from the Design Team. In the design office, they showed us where they get their inspiration from, pieces from the fall line, and how the whole design process comes together. Next, we got to speak to cabi’s Creative Director, Daniele Trussardi where he gave us a behind-the-scenes look at how their product catalog and seasonal magazine come together.
The Heart of cabi Foundation
Next up was a meeting with Emily Sanders, cabi’s Director of Brand Messaging and Content Strategy. Here she talked about cabi’s philanthropic foundations, The Heart of cabi Foundation and the W.E are cabi Program. I had known about these programs already, but on this day, Emily gave us an inside peek into some of the women these organizations are helping.
All I have to say is, WOW! Not only did I shed a few tears at how these programs are making a huge difference in these women’s lives, but I was blown away by how MUCH cabi gives back to the community. Over the past 12 years, cabi has donated $48 million in clothing and has funded over 11,000 small business loans to aspiring women entrepreneurs all over the world; amazing!
After a full morning, we sat down for lunch with the cabi team. I have to say; they totally spoiled us with Ahi Nicoise Salad, Lemon-Rosemary Chicken, delicious salads, decadent desserts, and champagne! Just look at these gorgeous table settings and flowers!
After lunch, we got to experience a cabi Fashion Experience, which I’m no stranger to since I have a friend that sells cabi and I often host cabi parties myself. The thing I love about cabi’s Fashion Experiences is it’s like having a personal wardrobe stylist in your home that helps you piece together the perfect outfit that makes you look good and feel good.
The cabi Blogger Day Photoshoot
The final stop on our tour was a professional photoshoot with Daniele (cabi’s Executive Creative Director) and Becky (cabi’s Chief Design Officer). I have to be honest, I was a little nervous. I’ve never done a professional photoshoot (besides family photos + our wedding) and I wasn’t sure what items to pair together. Luckily, Becky saw my indecision and helped me create a look that I absolutely loved! After I got my hair and makeup done, it was time for my shoot. To say I was nervous is an understatement, but, everyone made me feel so comfortable; it was such a blast.
To round out the day, Eboni and Bree (our awesome cabi guides throughout the day) arranged for all of us to meet up for dinner, where we had a wonderful time reminiscing about this unbelievable experience.
The Direct Sales Brand
Even though cabi is a multi-million dollar direct sales company that’s expanding globally (US, Canada, and the UK), their focus is still on the individual. Whether it’s their Stylists, their employees, their buyers, producers, or community, everything they do is done with integrity, compassion, and heart.
If you would like to find out more about cabi and their home business opportunity, you can check out one of their career events or request additional information online. Make sure you check out the new fall line HERE, it’s gorgeous!
If you’re already swooning over cabi, their clothes, and the career opportunity, now is a perfect time to investigate it further. Even though their new line just came out in July, their spring launch will be here before you know (January 2018). And believe me, you’ll want to attend the Scoop (the event where they educate their stylists and reveal the new line) because it is a total blast!
Thanks again to cabi for inviting me to cabi Blogger Day, it was a day I’ll never forget!
Great fun at cabi blogger day!
Congrats guys!
