Interview with WAHM Lindsay Post of BeachBody Coach

Interview with WAHM Lindsay Post of BeachBody CoacTell us a little bit about BeachBody Coach and how you got started.

BeachBody a direct sales company, are the makers of innovative, fun, effective workout programs such as P90X, Insanity, 10 minute Trainer, Hip Hop Abs, Slim in 6 and more. They also make nutritional supplements; meal replacement shakes and recovery formulas too. I got started as a BeachBody coach, because I had gained a lot of weight during both of my pregnancies (70 pounds with my first and 50 pounds with my second).

I used BeachBody workout programs to lose the weight after both of my pregnancies and now I’m down to a size 4 and my kids are only ages 2 and 1. After having my second baby I found out about the coaching opportunity and I thought it would be the perfect way to give back and help people achieve the weight loss success that I have achieved. As a mother, I also wanted to get out of the “rat race” and stay home with my children. The earning potential with BeachBody is amazing.

As a coach I provide online support to people who are interested in getting fit, specifically with BeachBody workout DVD’s and supplements. Not only do I sell the supplements and workout programs, but I provide encouragement and inside info on the programs (because I’m doing the programs too). I don’t believe in selling something that you wouldn’t try yourself. I also have a blog where I post updates, recipes, and info on my fitness journey.

Do you work at home?

How many hours do you work a week?

Depends … about 20-30. I set my own hours.

How did you fund your business?

The cost to become a coach is so minimal that I didn’t have to spend much. It’s only $39.95 to sign up. That includes your coach/business informational kit that gets you started. It also includes your coach website, which is the online hub where your customers can place orders, you gain sales leads, you get an online profile, marketing tools and much more. You also get another website that helps you sell your nutritional supplements too. Your online profile also helps you track your personal fitness goals, you get recipes, access to an online community where you can chat with other coaches as well as friends who are getting fit with BeachBody. Then after that it’s only $14.95/month, which is just a small fee for them to maintain your website. There are absolutely no hidden fees, scams, or inventories.

How would you rate your success from 0 – 10?

I would definitely say a solid 8. I have helped a lot of people get started on their fitness journeys. I am a newer coach and there still is more I want to achieve, but it doesn’t happen overnight. I know that I will be even more successful as time passes because I’m not just representing a product but standing behind BeachBody products because they work … I’m living proof! 120 pounds of weight lost in 2 and a half years!

How do you manage all of your personal and business activities?

I manage my entire business online, through my coach website and email. I also have a Twitter account and a Facebook.

What has been your biggest business struggle?

I haven’t really had too many struggles so far. I am a busy mom so I have to have good time management skills. I think the most important thing for anyone who is starting a business is to also be patient. Nothing worthwhile happens over night and you have to put in the work to get results.

What advice would you give to a new entrepreneur?

Just to be patient. If you are promoting something or doing something that you believe in and that you feel works … then you will be successful. Just keep your faith and keep pushing forward. It may take some time to reach your goals. Never give up!

Hi Emily! Thanks for reaching out and congrats on recently becoming a BeachBody coach. The best advice I can give you is to stick with it. It’s awesome that you have passion for the products because they are AMAZING!! Don’t lose that passion because that is what is going to make the difference in your success. Don’t give up! They say it takes about a year of sticking it out and being persistent before things will really start picking up. BeachBody really does sell itself. If you don’t already have a blog I would start one and do regular posts. Get on Facebook and track your progress, share pictures, and info about the products. I would also try online diet blogs and pages where you can share your information. There are a lot of online resources. Reach out to personal trainers in your area…Coaching is a great way for personal trainers to gain more income. I got BeachBody business cards and put my before and after picture on the back…you can order them through the promotional site. Put your signature of what you do, your blog, and your website on your email. Get a twitter account…NEVER GIVE UP GIRL!! It will happen!!! Things get slow for me too at times…but I’m plugging away at it everyday because I believe in it. You could also do a fundraiser for a local school or sports team. Not to mention you could host a fit party, where you could serve healthy food, swap recipes and promote the coaching opportunity and retail the awesome products. The possibilities are really endless. Get creative! =) It does take time though. Ask your upline for help…they are there for you!!! =) Best of luck. Feel free to email me any time at

It’s pretty awesome having nutrition as my life. I always tell people when they ask me what kind of supplements to take. Start with the basics and get some whey protein as a body building supplement then if you want, try an EFA stack for weight loss. As always throw in a multivitamin.
