You're looking for something to do, something to break up the day, and possibly a way to earn some extra income. A direct sales company is a great fit for any mom whether you stay-at-home or work outside the house.
When we first think of direct sales, many of us reminisce to the era of Tupperware parties or Avon consultants ringing the doorbell. The direct sales industry has evolved, and it's now much easier to grow your business from home using social media.
If you have ever considered the thought of joining a direct sales company, read on for five reasons why you should take the chance and jump right in!
1. You already use direct sales products in your life today.
Maybe you love your latest Chef Kitchen® Gadget, or Wildtree® Spice to help you prepare those meals in advance? Whatever it is, you may have already dabbled in the world of direct sales by being a customer.

The world of direct sales is unique, and many shy away from it thinking they are not “salesly” enough, or they do not want to bother their friends or family with pressure to buy certain products. The beauty of this is that social media has changed a lot of this thinking. You no longer have to sell just to friends and family. You can connect with a broader audience by using Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Periscope. Social media channels allow you to create a consistent presence, and through strategic marketing, you will find ways to make sales and grow your team all from the phone you hold in your hand. It takes work no doubt, but many are succeeding and are experiencing growth because of social media marketing.

4. The direct sales world is filled with networks of like-minded women (and men).
These networks include those in the same company as you and also direct-sales-focused groups online spearheaded by the incredible Brenda Ster is my go to network. The group of more than 20,000 members represents many different direct-sales companies and home-based businesses. Brenda promotes strategic and tactical tips for direct sellers in how best to promote yourself, your brand, and your business through social media channels. Supportive groups like The Socialite Suite are special in that you connect with individuals at the same point in life and business as you and those who are further along in their journey do their utmost to support and encourage everyone along the way.
5. Flexible schedules and income opportunities.
One last reason why you should join a direct sales company is the opportunity to earn supplemental or even full-time income on your own schedule all while you stay at home. Each direct sales company is unique in that there are different paths to earning income and different requirements to remain active within a company. When I made the decision to join a direct sales company, reason No. 2 was my “why” story. As a stay-at-home mom to two young kids, I found myself in a spot where each day I gave 100 percent to my children, my home, and my husband. There was very little left at the end of the day to devote to my passions and interests.
