For a small startup fee, you’re equipped with everything you need to launch a successful home-based business. All you need to bring is the right mindset and attitude.
With thousands of direct sales companies selling millions of products, who has the best products to sell from home? While it depends on what your passions are and how much you want to earn, here are some direct sales companies in a variety of niches that have high-quality products and top-notch opportunities!
The Best Products to Sell From Home
Sell Jewelry
If you love jewelry and fashion accessories, there are LOTS of direct sales companies that sell fabulous jewels and gems. Here are a couple of my personal favorites.
Think Goodness
Think Goodness is a family of brands that includes Origami Owl, Willing Beauty, CMYK Cosmetics, and Intuitiv Wellness. When you join as a Purpose Partner, you can sell all four brands, including Origami Owl’s jewelry and watches that can be customized with adorable little charms. Purpose Partners can earn up to 30% commission on sales and unlimited leadership bonuses. Starter kits are only $23. They even offer young entrepreneurs, ages 11-17, an opportunity to join with an adult mentor.
Sell Clothing
If you love fashion and clothing, there are some wonderful direct sales companies in the style niche! Whether you want to sell high-end fashion or athleisure, there are options for every taste, style, and budget.
cabi
I first learned about cabi in 2010 after being invited to their fall fashion show. After getting to experience the cabi brand firsthand, I was hooked. They have some of the most flattering and stylish clothes that I’ve seen for women. Not only are their clothes fabulous, but they also have one of the highest retention rates within the direct sales industry. With cabi, Stylists can earn 25-33% on personal sales and additional commissions for building a team. Your seasonal inventory is $1,250-$2,500, and according to their website, if you sell 70% of your seasonal inventory at 50% off, you’ll earn $1,750-$3,500 — which would fund your inventory for the next season.
Keylime Athletic Wear
Keylime Athletic Wear started as a brick-and-mortar store in Canada, but in 2012 they launched a rep program in the US, Canada, and Australia. They currently sell women’s tanks, tops, t-shirts, pants, shorts, swimwear, jewelry, accessories, and a small line of men’s clothing. Your first sample pack is $79 (40% off of retail), and it includes their top-selling products in a variety of sizes that you can sell from home. You’ll also get 20% off of online and in-person orders.

CUTCO
CUTCO sells the most amazing knives and cutlery! How do I know? My boyfriend in college used to sell CUTCO, and during that time, I purchased a couple of steak knives (it was all I could afford back then). Believe it or not, I still have those steak knives today. I loved those knives so much that I purchased a full set of knives a few years ago. They are amazingly sharp, and they come with a forever guarantee!
I’m not sure how much commission Sales Reps earn, but according to their website, “reps receive a guaranteed base pay when they show CUTCO to a qualified potential customer. So they get paid whether or not the customer purchases.” CUTCO also has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and they’re a member of the Direct Selling Association.

Thank you for mentioning Avon! I am an Independent Avon Representative and the opportunities with Avon are endless!
You’re welcome!
Love all the information. Does anyone any ideas for at home business or work that does require up front money for a starter kit or product??

Good luck and keep us posted!
I love your website/blog and have been following you for a number of years first of all. :) I have sold Avon now for almost 20 Years and I also sell Pampered Chef now. In the past I have sold Mary Kay (but didn’t like how expensive everything was) and I have sold Watkins as well. I love the Watkins products, but previously mentioned in a different post that it is hard to compete with Target, Wal-Mart and Menard’s. My favorite company is AVON, I just love all the products and it is so easy to work with. I believe I started my AVON business for only $10 and it is $25 now, which is very cheap! They have loads of affordable products. I am not getting rich or anything, but I do meet new people. I love how when I have my AVON vest on and I always get…..”You sell Avon, I have been looking for a consultant forever”. That makes my day. I have only sold the Pampered Chef products for a while but I really love the products, but the commission is only 20 – 25% … I feel like the products are more expensive, the commission should be higher.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Tina!
I think it’s important to mention that when you’re looking at direct sales opportunities — you’ll want to be sure that the products are only available from consultants. Otherwise, it’s too much competition with big box stores and online stores like Amazon that have huge marketing budgets.
Thanks for stopping by The Work at Home Woman!
