This past weekend, Angie from The Work at Home Wife, held this really informative event called the Work at Home Weekend. During this community event, she unleashed and showcased some of the best work at home blogs on the web.
While I was honored to be part of this event, I was more thrilled to learn about a bunch of new resources that I had not known about before. In fact, I spent a good two hours on Saturday morning just visiting and reading what these women had to offer.
As you well know, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to make money from home – and in finding all of these new blogs, I was able to learn about some new work at home money makers. With these new opportunities, you’re not going to get rich, but you can add some extra cash to your wallet.
Here are 8 ways to make some extra cash from home.
Think eBay meets the home party plan circuit. Allasta is a direct sales company with a unique twist – the products that you’ll be selling are items from your guests. Each guest brings 1-3 new or gently used items. The Allasta consultant, then helps price the items and sets up the bid sheets. When the auction closes, the consultant tallies up the bid sheets and announces the winners. Sellers make 50% profit and as a consultant, you’ll make 25% – 32% commission on all party sales. Please be aware that it does cost $149.99 to be a consultant, but you can sign up to host a party or attend a party – both offer various money making potentials.
New over at Amazon, you can make money online working on HITS (Human Intelligence Tasks). A few of the tasks that I saw listed were, transcribing information from a business card to a form, payout $0.02 cents. Another task was to transcribe a voice-mail from audio to text (audio length 3 hours), payout $76.19. After you complete the task and the requester approves your work, the money is deposited into your Amazon account.
Do you have a way with words? Then this opportunity with Boost CTR may be right up your alley. You basically write PPC (pay-per-click) Ads for companies – if your ad gets accepted, or wins a contest you get paid. On their home-page, Boost CTR boasts one “Booster” who is making $1,200 a month writing ads; keep in mind that this is probably their top earner who has excellent copywriting skills and this probably not the norm.
Bringing together companies and freelancers, Cloud Crowd seeks individuals to complete a variety of tasks. Tasks include everything from from online profile verification, to writing, editing and marketing. According to their expected earnings information, writers can make $15.00 – $25.00 an hour, editors can earn $10.00 – $35.00 an hour, and market writers can make $12.00 – $20.00 per hour. Please note that for the higher paying projects, you will need to pass certain credential tests.
At Jingit you can earn cash for watching ads and then completing a short survey. Simply sign in with your Facebook login, verify your account and start watching ads. By watching one ad (30 seconds) and by answering 5 multiple choice questions I was able to earn $0.30 cents. To increase your earning potential, simply share Jingit with your friends on one the various social media sites. Each friend that signs up, will increase your earning potential by $0.25 cents. You can use your earnings to buy music at music.me or you can get a Jingit Visa Debit Card.
Are you addicted to Pinterest? Well now’s your opportunity to get paid to Pin. Basically with Pinbooster advertisers pay you to pin their products to your boards – you decide what items you want to pin and how much you want to charge. Pinbooster is currently in private beta mode, so you have to request an invite to get started. As this is a new money making platform, I haven’t seen any reviews on it, I don’t know how the money is paid out or how much you can actually earn from it.
At Postloop you can earn extra cash by posting content on various forums. Simply sign up for an account, then start off by contributing, answering and starting new conversations on Postloop’s forum. Once you have completed this task and your account is approved by an administrator you can start posting on the “paid” forums. Each time you answer, reply or add a new conversation you’ll earn points – when you reach 100 points, you’ll earn $5.00. According to Postloop the average poster receives is $0.08 per post that they make. Definitely not a lot of money, but if you love to gab it may be a fun way to earn some extra pocket cash.
At We Go Look individuals are paid to verify goods and services before another person buys. Tasks include looking at cars, houses and vacation rentals, verifying the quality of a product and or checking the condition of a product. Once the task is completed and you have submitted your report (including photos), you will be paid via PayPal. We Go Look pays $25.00 and up per completed assignment.
What are you favorite ways to earn extra cash?
Please be aware that these companies have only been soft checked, meaning that I did a quick search to see if there were any negative reviews or ratings. As is always the case, please do your due diligence (research the opportunity extensively) prior to enrolling in any business opportunity.
